I always love hearing about how couples motivate each other to get healthy, but now more than ever since it's Valentine's Day. LeAnn Rhimes recently told Fitness magazine that her husband was the driving force behind finally being able to get healthy.
Here are highlights:
"I wasn't taking care of my health. I was getting out of breath in the middle of the show . . . and sometimes I was getting really sick." The solution came with the emotional stability provided by her husband Dean — who also provided her something more: a workout partner. "[Dean and I] both push each other to be better."
LeAnn definitely eats healthy, too. To see what an average day of eating looks like for her just read more.
I usually eat a bowl of oatmeal with agave nectar, dried cherries, and walnuts in the morning. I have a protein shake after the gym, then grilled chicken, a whole-wheat pita, and humus for lunch.
Come afternoon there's another snack, then, for dinner, I might have trout with spinach sautéed in garlic and olive oil and a piece of dark chocolate for dessert.

She looks eerily photoshopped. I'm glad she's in great shape though!
1I can never give up all the junk food i love.
2But i still eat healthy.
I wish my boyfriend worked out with me!!
Her stomach looks really strange in that pic. I know she has a good body, but why do they have to photoshop it so much and make it look unnatural? Yuck!
3Whoa! She looks fantastic! Good for her!
4Whoa! She looks fantastic! Good for her!
5Wow she looks great!
6She looks great and sounds like she's doing well. I don't like to be a hater, but doesn't her menu sound a bit coached or rehearsed? There is eating healthy, and there is making it sound like you eat healthy.
7I agree with you kiddylnd. And what the heck is agave nectar?
8agave nectar is like a simple syrup/sweetener/honey alternative.
9Her belly button looks like its in the wrong place...lol.
Um...she does seem to be reading off of a menu or something. kinda funny.
10Weird, but was she really that out of shape to begin with? Or maybe she was one of those people that just never worked out? I guess I just find it frustrating that these mags never really promote someone who works out, is healthy, and a size 10, and not size 2.
11I'm with you, Leenie. I wish they would stop putting skinny-fat famous people on the covers of magazines and airbrush abs onto them. I'd much rather see a fit and strong woman that's a little bigger...it wouldn't be as hypocritical. I don't think LeAnn Rimes ever really worked out much...she's always been sort of curvy. I definitely don't think her abs are really like that though...those have to be airbrushed on.
12Her nose job was a nice improvement.
13That photoshop person should be fired...
14Yeah, she got a terrible Photoshopping.
15Um, can this picture BE anymore fake?
16I agree this picture looks fake, but she does look really good in person. I saw her at a taping of CMT Crossroads with Joss Stone (which was awesome and you should watch it). She looked really good. Skinny, but not TOOOOOOO skinny. And surprisingly she had a butt! A good one, I was jealous.
17her stomach looks very strange...
18i agree w/ u uptown_girl crossroads ia amazing
19I've met her several times over the last 7 or 8 years... and she definitely used to be a bit 'chunky'... but part of that was her being young. She is a tiny person... short with a tiny frame. I saw her recently, and she looks great. Not too skinny, just healthy. And, for some of us, a size 2 is our 'normal' size... whether or not we work out a lot.
20I saw her in a magazine with her trainer and she was doing yoga and balancing her entire body on her forearms...I don't do much yoga but she seemed really good at it. This was over a year ago so she has been working out for a while now. She said (in the interview) that yoga changed her body to be leaner and stronger. And like alethia037 said, she has been on the scene since she was a little girl, she just had baby fat.
And I'm a size 12 but my sister is normally a size 0 as well as my best friend. My other sister is a size 6. Everyone comes in all shapes and sizes, it does not bother me at all seeing someone on a magazine that's a size 2. But that's just my opinion.
