I gave you 5 pieces of information about your hamstrings, so I thought I should follow up with 5 stretches for those wonderful muscles on the back of your legs. Not stretching your hamstrings can have some disastrous results.
So give anyone of these stretches a try. Remember to hold your stretches for at least 30 seconds, and don't bounce.
Fit's tip: If you have low back problems, the last stretch probably is the best stretch for you.

For the first one, is it necessary to have the knees bent? I tried it and I felt nothing stretching at all. Plus, since I have short legs and a long torso, I had my knuckles dragging on the floor. I felt more of a burn with knees not bent at all, would that be effective?

1The last one is a great one to do with exercise bands as well since it really intensifies the stretch.
2i love stretching, esp in the morning!
3Moni B - you can definitely straighten your knees in the stretch, but don't lock them. Try it seated and see if that intensifies the stretch.
4thanks , this info. is realy helpful
