Since it's chilly outside, instead of turning up the heat or making a cup of hot chocolate, give these a try. All you need is a chair and plenty of room so you can stand comfortably on the seat. Be sure to use a chair that has no wheels, and place it on a carpet or a mat to prevent it from slipping.
- Stand next to a chair. Place your right foot in the center of the chair seat.

- Then step up and raise your left knee up in front of your chest. Hold like this for a count of three, trying to keep your spine and right leg straight. Keep breathing and engage your abs to support your back. Then slowly step down.
- Repeat this for a total of 20 times.

- After lifting and holding your knee up, now stand up with your leg straight out. Hold like this for a count of three and then step back down. Repeat for a total of 20 times.

- After that move, it's time to do some Broadway kicks. Instead of just holding your left leg up there, power kick it up as high as you can and then step back down. Kick 20 times.
- Now repeat the knee up holds, leg up holds, and Broadway kicks with the right leg.

Careful ladies.
1hmmmm.. looks like the exercise works your butt too. i'm in. just got to find a solid chair. everything is on wheels nowadays :\
2Looks like something that could help prevent blogger butt...lol
3what does this do for ur body? other than the butt?
4lol on the blogger butt comment. jajaja
5omg be careful with this one, i did it 20 reps on each leg and i had a hard time walking for awhile lol.
6I would probably fall off the chair if I tried that, but I guess I could give it a shot if I had a really stable chair!
7Now this scares me a tad. I can imagine this is an easy exercise to incorporate into one's routine...however....I wouldn't be surprised if I fell off the chair
8Wow, seriously, this looks like an accident waiting to happen. Don't mean to be negative but there's a reason they sell steppers that are designed to be used safely. If you must, get a much sturdier chair than the one in the pics above. Even with my small apt, my little stepper from The Firm (3-in-1 platform, $32) does a great job and all types of people (many have inner ear, balance issues) can increase the height.
I've seen patients who sustained spinal injuries with the craziest accidents. Please, please be careful!!
9I have done this routine everyday for the last couple of weeks it is AWESOME!!! (TRY IT)
